Introductory provisions

Article 1

Annales historici Presovienses (hereinafter referred to as AHP) is a scientific periodical of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov in Prešov (hereinafter referred to as the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prešov in Prešov), published by the University of Prešov in Prešov at the Publishing House of the University of Prešov in Prešov.

Article 2

AHP publishes contributions from history and related scientific fields. It focuses mainly on publishing the latest results of scientific research by researchers from Slovakia and abroad. AHP publishes contributions in Slovak, some world language or a Central European language.

Article 3

AHP is published twice a year in print and electronic form, which are identical. The electronic form of the AHP periodical is published on the website www.ahp.sk. The deadline for the first issue is always June 30th and the second issue is always December 31st of the respective calendar year.

 

Editorial Board and Editorial Staff

Article 4

The Editorial Board is a body that expresses its opinion on the professional direction of the AHP. It is composed of domestic and foreign experts from universities and academic institutions, or practitioners. The members of the Editorial Board are informed in writing by the Chairman of the Editorial Board at least once a year about the content, status of preparations and proposed changes to the AHP. Membership in the Editorial Board is an honorary position and is irreplaceable. The members of the Editorial Board have the right to propose contributions for publication in the AHP. They participate in the professional assessment of selected contributions. Scientific studies and professional articles are assessed by two independent reviewers, who are appointed by the Editorial Board and whose assessment is the basis for the Editorial Board's decision on including a contribution in the AHP. The Editorial Board decides on the inclusion of other contributions on the proposal of the Chairman of the Editorial Board.

Article 5

The chairman of the editorial board is the director of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts in Prešov during his term of office. The management of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts in Prešov may decide on a possible change of the chairman of the editorial board of the AHP. Members of the editorial board and the editorial office are appointed and dismissed by the director of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts in Prešov in agreement with the editor-in-chief.

Article 6

The editor-in-chief is proposed by the director of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prague in agreement with the management of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Prague (director and heads of departments).

Article 7

The Chairman of the Editorial Board is responsible for informing the members of the Editorial Board according to Article 4. The Chairman of the Editorial Board convenes and chairs the meetings of the Editorial Board.

Article 8

The chairman of the editorial board submits an annual report on activities to the management of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Arts of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, as well as to the Editorial Board of the AHP in Prešov.

Article 9

The executive body of the AHP is the editorial board. The editor-in-chief of the AHP is responsible for tasks related to the ongoing preparation of the publication and its organization.

Article 10

The editor-in-chief selects members of the editorial board as needed.

 

Publication in Annales historici Prešovienses

Article 11

AHP mainly publishes scientific studies and professional articles, as well as polemics, materials, documents, reviews, annotations, glosses from history and related scientific fields, and reports related to scientific and social life.

Article 12

Scientific studies and professional articles are assessed by two independent reviewers, who are appointed by the editorial board and whose opinion is the basis for the editorial board's decision on including the contribution in the AHP. The editorial board decides on the inclusion of other contributions upon the proposal of the chairman of the editorial board.

Article 13

The authors are responsible for the content of individual contributions. AHP also publishes contributions and opinions that may not be in line with the opinions of all members of the editorial board.
