      Abstract

The study illustrates the social functions of the Reformed Church, showing through biblical verses the necessity and justification for them. It presents a special area of service from the Church’s wide-ranging tasks, describing its unique circumstances and the specific professional conditions in the field of service in the country. The family transition shelters were created to address the social problem of homelessness and homelessness. The homes provide accommodation for children and parents together. The aim of running the institutions is to prevent family breakdown and to enable children to live in their own homes, in their own families. However, it is important to recognise the dysfunctional nature of the domestic institutional system, which is characterised by the phenomenon of migrant families, the lack of consequences for non-compliance and the absence of interdependent social services. To conclude this article, we present two cases, the purpose of which is to show the reader the importance of the mission of the maternity home. Such an institution and the learning and socialisation that takes place there can completely change a person’s life, influencing it in a positive direction.
